I give credit to my life partner, my wife Arlina who has played a major roll in my success as a photographer, inspiring my work and encouraging me to pursue my dream in photography. We have spent many hours together sitting on the shoreline drinking coffee and waiting for that special moment when the sun peeks over the Selkirk Mountains. Every now and then a prize stands out as if light and nature conspired to create a masterpiece, there is nothing better than to find that scene that speaks to me in a special way, knowing that life thrives on beauty. As we view nature as beautiful as it is we must remember why we must protect it and where it has come from.
My goal is to open a door to beauty and appreciation for art and what it can do for the soul. As you view my images I ask that you cherish that moment in time an image of yesterday. I also wish to create "images that enhance life", not only providing enjoyment with my art, but also creating inspiration for the environmental conservation. What I look for are subjects that touch the viewer, both profoundly beautiful and possessing what I call, "Simple Elegance".
My favorites are those lake scenes that show a hint of snow in the high mountains, the water is crystal clear, the skys are untouched. The rich greens that lace the shorelines help frame the beauty that Priest Lake has given us from our first visit and will continue until our last. "My Home My Pride"
